Compulsory training

An approved 12- hour Paediatric First Aid course must be completed before registration and updated every 3 years. You need to pay for this yourself and you can either use one of the providers listed in the Early Years and Childcare multi agency training guide or you can use a provider of your choice.

Common Induction Standards must be completed within 6 months of registering with Ofsted

Common Induction Standards is a 32 hour modular course with common elements that apply to all childcare providers and a sector specific module for childminders.

In order to access this training, you will need to book your Common Induction Standards and also the Childminding Sector Specific Day for Childminding.
