Investors in People

Northamptonshire Childminding Association are also really pleased to report that they have just successfullyInvestors in People logo retained their status as an Investors in People organisation. Investors in People provides a straightforward, proven framework for delivering business improvement through people and successful organisations value the people who work in them. Every three years organisations are reassessed to make sure that they are maintaining the high standards expected by the assessors. This is NCA's second reassessment and the assessor was extremely impressed.

Amongst other things, the Investors in People assessor commented that :

  • Team spirit and morale are high with a feeling of togetherness, cooperation and friendliness. Everyone says it is a ‘family-friendly’ atmosphere with openness and trust and with everyone allowed to have a say. This is still the case despite the current uncertainty which prevails at NCA.
  • Management are seen as open, friendly and supportive and allow people to try and fail and improve. There is a feeling of an empowered, trusting, supportive culture. Levels of praise are seen as high and recognition is always forthcoming.
  • There is a feeling of equality within NCA. All are respected and treated as equals. Everyone has access to learning and support and can make suggestions at any time.
  • The approach to business planning and its format is to be commended. Senior Management have deliberately changed the format to focus on the current needs of the business.
  • The staff at NCA display commitment, passion and pride in their work and have great faith in management.
