Library Cards for childminders

Northamptonshire Library Plus have asked us to let you know that as a childminder you are entitled to an additional library membership. You can have a special children’s card which entitles you to borrow up to 20 children’s items for 21 days for the child/children in your care.

  • Books are free to borrow.
  • DVDs (7 day loan) and Books on CD can be borrowed for a small charge.
  • It’s free and quick to join, no ID is required and you can use your card straight away.

All libraries run regular rhymetimes for pre-school children. Some libraries have homework clubs once a week during term-time to help children with homework set at school. Libraries run activities for children during the school holidays. Most of these are free.
